Who we are
NOOP App Guide publishes step-by-step guides for installing NOOP and pairing it with a WHOOP strap. In this policy, "we" means the operators of https://noop-app.com. You can reach us at contact@noop-app.com or through our contact page.
This policy covers this website only. The NOOP app is made by a separate, independent project; we explain how the app handles your data in Is NOOP private?, based on NOOP's own privacy documentation.
What we collect
You don't need an account. The site has no sign-up, no comments and no contact forms, so we don't ask for your name or email address.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical information for each request: IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and they are deleted automatically after a short period.
Analytics. If analytics is switched on, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where the guides need work. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (country or city) and your device type. It does not give us your name or contact details. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising. If we show ads, they're served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ad Settings. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the UK, we ask for your consent before ad and analytics cookies are used.
Device detection. To show the right download, the page checks your browser's user agent (for example "Android" or "iPhone") inside your browser. This isn't stored or sent anywhere.
"Explore with AI" buttons. These open ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity in a new tab with a question about the page. Nothing is sent until you click one, and then those services' own privacy policies apply.
Downloads and links to other sites
Download buttons send you to NOOP's official releases on GitHub. GitHub, Reddit, Discord and other sites we link to have their own privacy policies. We don't control what they collect.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted. Server logs are kept for no longer than 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we don't know who you are, most requests are best handled through the cookie and ad settings above. For anything else, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
